By calling 1-866-234-4857, you will be connected to a non-profit, HUD-approved credit counselor.  The phone line is operated as part of the State Home Foreclosure Prevention Project (SHFPP).  The SHFPP is a partnership led by the Office of the Commissioner of Banks to reduce foreclosures in North Carolina.  The partners include housing counselors, legal assistance organizations, mortgage servicers, and community organizations.  Here are some other helpful links for counseling information:
