We are pleased to announce our 117th Annual Convention, June 8-12, 2013 at The Homestead in Hot Springs, Virginia.  Make plans to bring your whole family to the beautiful mountains of Virginia for family fun and great outdoor adventures.  Hiking, kayaking and canoeing, golf, tennis, rock climbing, biking, fishing, skeet shooting, horseback riding and many more activities are available at The Homestead.  The new two-acre Allegheny Springs will be open this year, offering endless family fun with two 100-foot water slides, a 400-foot lazy river, a water play zone and a sandy beach.  For those who wish to relax, The Homestead Spa which features a much enjoyed indoors activity is utilizing the natural mineral springs that have soothed weary travelers for centuries. 

As always, we will hold our NCBA Foundation Golf and Tennis Tournaments.  These tourneys are designed for players of all skill levels.  Don’t be shy!  Golf will be played at The Old Course, which enjoys the distinction of having the oldest first tee (established 1892) in continuous use in the U.S.  The course offers six par-5s and six par-3s - including par-3s to conclude each side – giving this layout a unique flavor.  Golf and Tennis Tournament registration information is included in the attached Convention Announcement.

If you would like to take advantage of the NCBA's Service Certificate and Memorial recognition program for employees and directors, you must submit your list by April 26. Let us help you honor your employees who have made banking their career. Certificates cover all years of service to the banking industry, not just the financial institution where the recipient is currently employed. Certificates are presented in five-year increments, beginning with five years of service. As we do every year, we will present service certificates at our Annual Convention. For those individuals who are not in attendance at the Annual Convention, certificates will be mailed immediately following the event. Also, we will honor those employees and directors who have passed away during the previous year. Please use the attached form for your request and email to lennon@ncbankers.org.
