RALEIGH, N.C. – The North Carolina Bankers Association will conduct its annual Bank Robbery Reward Press Conference on Thursday, December 12, at 9:00 a.m. at the US Bankruptcy Court, Eastern District of NC, 300 Fayetteville St., 2nd. Floor, Raleigh, NC 27601, to discuss bank robberies in North Carolina and how to enable members of the public and the media to assist the FBI and other state and local law enforcement agencies in the apprehension of individuals who commit bank robberies. Officials from the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of North Carolina will participate in the press conference to discuss prosecution of these individuals. This is a timely message as the holiday season is often a period of heightened bank robberies.

The arrest of suspected bank robbers and conviction of individuals who commit such heists are tributes to the effectiveness of the continuing joint efforts of the FBI, other North Carolina law enforcement agencies, North Carolina and federal government officials, the state’s banking industry, the NCBA, and the public to reduce or eliminate this serious crime.

The North Carolina Bankers Association brings together all categories of banking institutions that best represent the interests of our rapidly changing state. The state’s banks have provided support to their communities since 1864. Look for a current listing at
